On March 12, 2020, due to nationwide shutdowns I was faced with postponing or cancelling the Miss Lakeside Pageant for the 1st time ever, two days before the actual event should have taken place. The program books were printed, new sashes and crowns ready to be placed, families, friends, and community members were excited to see our Lakeside girls take the stage, and our contestants were ready for their time to shine...the 58th Annual Miss Lakeside Scholarship Pageant was 48 hours from taking the stage!

   After 5 months of waiting, hoping, and praying to be able to reschedule our "normal" pageant... I came to the conclusion that it was time to move forward.

​

   For the 1st time in Lakeside history we will be holding a virtual pageant. Interviews will be done remotely with the Judges, and there will be a small crowning ceremony on August 29th. Unfortunately, due to county restrictions there will not be any audience allowed. We will be sharing updates and footage on our website & social media and know that our community will be proud of the work put into everything. We want to thank our patient Judges, Sponsors, Advertisers and Community for their continued support.

   While this is not how we imagined this special day for our girls.. We are adjusting, adapting, and moving forward together! This is the time for our girls to set the example of shining through the storm! We are extremely proud of the grace, strength and positive attitudes that ALL of our girls have shown throughout this entire process.
